What Genre Should You Read Based On Your Zodiac Sign?

Aries (March 21- April 19)

Genre: Action and adventure

The first astrological sign in the Zodiac, Aries are full of energy. They are strong-willed leaders known for being impulsive. Fast paced novels with a lot of action are a sure way to keep an Aries entertained.

Taurus (April 20- May 20)

Genre: Classics and Historical Nonfiction

Taurus are known for being loyal and patient. A person with the sign will probably value a novel that uses eloquent language and an in-depth look at its characters more than a fast paced plot. Classics are classic for a reason, a Taurus can rely on that.

Gemini (May 21- June 20)

Genre: Science-fiction and Dystopian

Just like a Gemini, a reader never knows what to expect with a science-fiction novel. A Gemini is known for their quick wit, free spirit and curiosity. A book must be able to quickly prove its worth to a Gemini or else they will move on before the second chapter.

Cancer (June 21- July 22)

Genre: Memoirs and Contemporary YA

Cancer is one of the most emotional and nurturing of all the signs. A good novel for a Cancer is one that has an emotional journey. Characters must be dynamic and relatable. If a novel can do this, a Cancer will not be able to forget it.

Leo (July 23- August 22)

Genre: Fantasy and Epics

Leos love passion and drama, which most fantasy novels contain. A bold character with a bit of an attitude is a sure way to keep a Leo entertained. Read books with magic, adventure, and anything with a bold plot to entertain a Leo.

Virgo (August 23- September 22)

Genre: Crime and Informative Nonfiction

Virgos are known for being factual and detail oriented. With these genres, Virgos can flex their analytical strength. For a Virgo to enjoy a novel, it should probably have subtle foreshadowing and a big plot twist.

Libra (September 23- October 22)

Genre: Contemporary Fiction and Satire

Libras enjoy balance, harmony and thoughtfulness. A novel that has the perfect amount of emotional appeal and plot points will appeal best to a Libra. A Libra’s will appreciate when an author writes a unique plot without feeling like they ‘tried too hard’.

Scorpio (October 23- November 21)

Genre: Mystery and Journalism

Scorpios are highly focused and always aim for the finish line. A novel needs to match or surpass the same level of intensity in order for a Scorpio to keep interest. Scorpios are very observant and suspicious, making anything with a challenge a good read for a Scorpio.

Sagittariuses are known for being kind and gentle. This sign also loves to travel and make meaningful connections with themselves and others. A book that incorporates selfless humor and intelligence is sure to win over the heart of a Sagittarius.

Capricorn (December 22- January 19)

Genre: Realistic Fiction and Biographies

Capricorns are known to be structured and disciplined. This sign leans more toward a serious genre, such as nonfiction. A Capricorn that likes fiction will probably go toward a novel with a meaningful lesson and effective plot.

Aquarius (January 20- February 18)

Genre: Mythology and Utopian

The Aquarius is known to be the humanitarian of all the signs. Any book that pushes boundaries will intrigue an Aquarius, especially if it blurs lines between reality and fiction. The independence and imagination of an Aquarius also make these two genres perfect for them.

Pisces (February 19- March 20)

Genre: Fairy Tales and Magical Realism Fiction

Pisces are dreamers and therefore need a book that does just that. A healer of the signs, a Pisces also needs a book that has plenty of resolution. Magical realism may sound like a contradiction, but this star sign isn’t complaining.
